EXCLUSIVE: Republican Bryce Reeves Launches Bid To Challenge Mark Warner For Virginia’s Senate Seat

The Republican Senator of the State of Virginia, Bryce Reeves, launched an offer from the Senate on Wednesday to challenge the Democratic Senator of Virginie Mark Warner in 2026.
Reeves, a former veteran of the American army and detective of narcotics, criticized Warner to suffer from TDS [Trump Derangement Syndrome] And argued that he had lost contact with the majority of voters in Virginia after almost 18 years in the upper room, in an exclusive interview with the Daily Caller News Foundation. Although Reeves is likely to cope with a climb up to dedicate Warner – who presents himself for a fourth term – the state senator said that his campaign would challenge political experts who claim that a Republican cannot win the competition. “When people do not think it can be done, I like to prove them the opposite,” said Reeves to the DCNF. “I do not adhere to this logic because the reality is that Warner did not work in two terms.”
Reeves expressed a similar message in his campaign ad video which highlights his work in the State Senate to defend the rights of parents in the education of their children among other priorities.
“Bryce Reeves learned early: never going back, never leaving,” said a narrator on the spot.

Reeves said he would be a strong ally of President Donald Trump if he was elected to the Senate while continuing his work bipartite and focused on the results of three mandates in the Senate room.
Reeves told the DCNF that he was impatient to appear against Warner for opposing the majority of Trump’s legislative program, in particular by granting tax alternatives to workers families and eliminating waste, fraud and abuse in the federal government.
Warner voted against the great law on Big Beautiful Bill, the legislative legislative completion of the president, qualifying the law “one of the most destructive laws that I have ever seen”.
The law permanently allowed Trump’s tax cuts in 2017, created new tax lounges for the elderly, tilted workers and those who receive overtime and reformed Medicaid and food aid. The Virginia Democrat also opposed the legislation supported by the GOP to prevent organic men from participating in the sports of girls in kindergarten schools in the 12th year in March.
“Lately, he seems to do nothing, and everything he wants to do is complain and vote against the budget and other things,” Reeves told DCNF. “Mark Warner focused on what is good for Mark Warner, and I think he has lost his way.”
Reeves also hammered Warner for having participated in the head of the Senate minority, Chuck Schumer, to block a “clean” extension of government financing on Friday. The Democrats of the Senate have so far pointed out that they would plunge the country into a government closure on October 1 if the Republicans do not incorporate requests for partisan policy in exchange for their votes.
Virginia, which houses more federal workers than almost any other state, is particularly vulnerable to the effects of a closure.
The National Republican Senate Committee (NRSC), the campaign arm of the Senate Republicans, accused Warner of prioritizing “the policy on the health care of veterans, essential government services and payroll checks for our soldiers and our employees of the federal government”.
Reeves also criticized Warner for opposing the efforts of the Senate Republicans to reduce unnecessary spending. Warner voted against a cancellation package of approximately $ 9 billion in July which recovered funding for foreign aid and public broadcasting. The Republicans, whose Reeves, criticized the American Agency for International Development (USAID) to abuse resources and push left -wing activism on the countries of the world.
“He knew that this kind of thing was happening. Why didn’t he say something? Reeves told DCNF. “He has been in the marsh for too long. He’s too drunk from the marsh. He does Kool-Aid with it.”

An early analysis of the non -partisan political relationship of the kitchen notes the Virginia competition as “solid democrat” – the same designation given to the breeds of Rhode Island and the deep blue Massachusets.
Warner also raised $ 10 million in bank in July and could benefit from a high recognition of names through the State after participating in state -of -scale voting ballots for more than two decades.
Reeves, however, argued that he could win the competition by going beyond the outgoing senator and underlined his upset victory over a 28 -year -old democrat when he was elected for the first time in the Senate of the State of Virginia in 2011.
Reeves has also expressed optimism that Charlie Kirk’s assassination and the anger resulting from the left-wing political violence could galvanize young conservatives to run for republican candidates in a mid-term cycle where Trump’s name will not appear on the ballot.
“I think there is this foundation of young people who concern the age of my son, in the twenty to 30 years, who are simply motivated as everyone is coming out now,” said Reeves. “I am very optimistic about the trajectory of the place where we are heading.”
Warner has not officially declared his candidacy, but should largely ask for a fourth term. A Warner spokesperson did not immediately respond to the DCNF comment request.
