‘Extremely intoxicated’ driver leads Thurston deputies on chase

The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) said a suspect showed signs of drunk driving after a deputy saw him running circles around a bar in Lacey Friday evening.
Dashcam video posted to Facebook shows a deputy chasing the suspect in a Honda minivan as they took off on Martin Way around 2 a.m.
The driver was traveling at a normal speed but refused to stop, according to TCSO.
The police carried out several maneuvers in the pits before the driver stopped and surrendered a few minutes later.
The sheriff’s office said the driver was “extremely intoxicated” and was booked into the Thurston County Jail on charges of driving while intoxicated and eluding.
