Fantasy Football Week 3 Waiver Wire: Jamey Eisenberg lists Daniel Jones among Joe Burrow replacement options

Joe Burrow (TOE) suffered the biggest injury of week 2, but we also lost Austin Ekeler (Achille) for the season and Jayden Reed (Clarbone) for six to eight weeks. JJ McCarthy (ankle) was also released for week 2, and we are waiting to find out how long Jayden Daniels (knee), Aaron Jones (hamstrings) and Justin Fields (brain) will be absent after the three injured last week.
The derogation thread will be busy heading around week 3, especially in the quarter-Arrière, with fantasy directors who rush to replace Burrow and McCarthy and potentially Daniels and Fields. Daniel Jones (44 percent reduced to CBS Sports) is my favorite option, but we will also approach Jake Browning (2%), Carson Wentz (1%reduced), Marcus Mariota (1%) and Tyrod Taylor (1%).
There are not many excellent runners on the waiver, but Chris Rodriguez (13%) and / or Jeremy McNichols (1%) could now be relevant with Ekeler. It is also a good idea to hide certain handcuffs, including Tyjae Spears (36%), Blake Corum (16%) and Tyler Allgeier (48%).
The wide receiver is responsible for interesting players to add, in particular Wan’Dale Robinson (42%), Cedric Tillman (46%), Rashid Shaheed (51%), Troy Franklin (8%), Christian Kirk (55%) and Elic Ayoman (13%). And we will examine the packers, which could help replace Reed in Romeo Doubs (37%) and Dontayvion Wicks (3%).
In the end tight, the best player to add is Juwan Johnson (54%), who has now played well for two weeks in a row. Johnson looks like an essential fantastic winger to move forward in all the leagues.
Publisher’s note: For this column of derogation wire, we only look at the players noted in less than 65% of the CBS sports leagues.
Distribution of week 3
Injuries: Joe Burrow (Orteil), Jayden Daniels (knee), JJ McCarthy (ankle), Justin Fields (Concrete Brain) and Brock Purdy (Orteil).
Check to see if available in shallow leagues: Caleb Williams (87%reheated), Drake Maye (86%) and Trevor Lawrence (70%). Williams scored at least 20 fantastic points in each of the first two games, and he has an excellent match in week 3 against Dallas. … Maye had a match in small groups with 30 fantastic points in week 2 in Miami, and I hope it can remain hot during week 3 against Pittsburgh. … Lawrence has no easy match in week 3 against Houston, but he scored 24 fantastic points in Cincinnati during week 2 and may be a low -end starter in all the leagues in the future.
Drop candidates: Joe Burrow (100% reduced) and Brock Purdy (86%). Burrow needs surgery and could be missing three months, which could put it aside until week 15. If you have no IR place to store it, then unfortunately, you will probably have to drop it into straightening leagues. … Purdy is unlikely to play in week 3 due to his toe injury, and we don’t know when he can come back. For the moment, he is droppable in the a quarter straightening leagues.

Back-back
Injuries: Aaron Jones (ischio-legs), Austin Ekeler (Achille), Joe Mixon (foot), Tyjae Spears (ankle) and Will Shipley (oblique).
Check to see if available in shallow leagues: Cam Skattebo (81%reduced), Trey Benson (80%), Brian Robinson Jr. (79%) and Bhashul Tuten (75%). We will see if Skattebo is now the best ball carrier in the Giants, but he played more shots than Tyrone Tracy during week 2 in Dallas and managed more races. Skattebo finished with 11 races for 45 yards and one touch and two catches for 14 yards on three targets. Tracy had five races for 15 yards and four catches for 36 yards out of five targets. I would not go too far to add skattebo since the giants play the chiefs in week 3, but it is worth resuming if available. … Benson and Robinson are high -end handcuffs that should be zero in each league. If one or the other becomes a starting role, then they would be a potential fantastic option in all the leagues. … the tutual should be the Balloon Wearer No. 1 to be added when it is available if it is in derogation. In the first match after Tank Bigsby was exchanged in the Eagles, Tuten succeeded in eight races for 42 yards and two catches for 32 yards and one touch on two targets against Cincinnati. He will continue to share touches with Travis Etienne, but the tuten could be a flexible option while Etienne is healthy. And Tuten would be an essential runner in all the leagues if Etienne was injured.
Drop candidates: Austin Ekeler (92 percent Rossaild), Kaleb Johnson (78%), Braelon Allen (72%) and Jaydon Blue (65%). Ekeler came out for the season, and we will see what is happening for Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Chris Rodriguez and Jeremy McNichols (see below). … Johnson has managed two races for less-1 and no target in two games so far this season. It is clearly behind Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainwell, and it is difficult to envisage that Johnson has a leading role of soon. … I always hope that Allen will have an important role this season, but the jets look horrible during week 2 against Buffalo. And Allen has only eight races through two games for 20 yards and a touchdown and without catching a single target. … I also hope that Blue will have a role for the cowboys this season, but it has been inactive for two games. And Javonte Williams looks great, so waiting for blue does not make sense in most straightening leagues.

Wide receivers
Injuries: Xavier Worthy (shoulder), Chris Godwin (ankle), Jayden Reed (Clarbone), Christian Kirk (ischio-legs), Brandon Aiyuk (knee), Jalen Coker (Quadriceps), Christian Watson (knee) and Jalen McMillan (neck).
Check to see if available in shallow leagues: Cooper Kupp (84 percent reduced), Chris Godwin (82%), Khalil Shakir (81%), Marquise Brown (79%), Darnell Mooney (77%) and Jauan Jennings (71%). The miserable Kupp match in week 1 against San Francisco (3.5 PPR points) was followed with 16 PPR points in week 2 at Pittsburgh. He had seven captures for 90 yards on nine targets, and I hope it is the Kupp that we will see going ahead. … Godwin (ankle) begins to train, although he does not come back before week 5. That said, if you can put it away now, it could be a good idea because it can always be a fantastic quality asset when it is healthy. … I would not worry too much about Shakir’s Shakir match in the week 2 at the jets with a socket for 12 yards on two targets, because the Bills only tried 27 assists in the 30-10 victory. Shakir faces Miami in week 3, and the secondary of dolphins is terrible. It will rebound and remain a low -end PPR 3 receiver most weeks. … Worthy could return in week 3 to the Giants, but Brown should always have a leading role for chefs until Rashee Rice (suspension) returns. Brown had only five catches for 30 yards out of five targets in week 2 against Eagles, but he led Kansas City during the receptions. … Mooney made his debut in the season during week 2 in Minnesota after missing week 1 with a shoulder injury, but he only had two caught for 20 yards on four targets. He is fortunate to be a fancy receiver n ° 3 in all the leagues over the season, so add Mooney where available. … Jennings played with his shoulder injury during week 2 in New Orleans and finished with five catches for 89 yards and a touch on 10 targets. He is fortunate to be a fancy option n ° 3 in all the leagues when he is in good health and could always be the best receiver in San Francisco this season before Ricky Pearsall.
Drop candidates: Jayden Reed (73 percent reduced), Rashod Bateman (62%), Adam Thielen (50%), Luther Burden III (34%), Demario Douglas (31%) and Xavier Legette (25%). Reed (Clarbone) will lack six to eight weeks and is dropp with the leagues of Relonen if you cannot put it on IR. … Bateman combined for four catches for 25 yards on eight targets through two games, and he remains dependent on the touch to help his fantastic value. The affected will come, but Bateman is not worth playing in the majority of the leagues before week 3. … Thielen obtains an additional match without Jordan Addison (suspension), but Thielen has been disappointing so far with two sockets for 26 yards on four targets in two games. Even with a positive match in week 3 against Cincinnati, you can drop Thielen in the majority of the leagues. … I still hope Burden will have a big role with the Bears, but that might not happen anytime soon. Through two games, Burden has two signs for 2 yards on three targets, and there are a lot of mouth to feed in the Chicago attack. … Douglas did not produce as I hoped two games with three catches for 6 yards and one touch on eight targets, and you can drop it in most leagues before week 3 against Pittsburgh. … LEGETTE has 15 targets in the first two games of the season, but he combined for four catches for 8 yards. There is no reason to play it before week 3 in most leagues.

Injuries: George Kittle (ischio-legs), Brock Bowers (knee), Evan Engram (calf), Isaiah Probge (foot) and Darren Waller (hip).
Check if you are available in shallow leagues: Kyle Pitts (69 percent reduced), Dalton Kincaid (66%) and Jake Ferguson (66%). Pitts was great during week 1 with seven catches for 59 yards in eight targets against Tampa Bay, and he would benefit major if Drake London (shoulder) and Darnell Mooney (shoulder) were released during week 2 in Minnesota. … Kincaid took a good start in week 1 against Baltimore with four catches for 48 yards and one touch on four targets. Hopefully he will be able to stay healthy and have a season in small groups in 2025. … Ferguson experienced a calm match in week 1 with five sockets for 23 yards on six targets, but he should continue to be involved with Dak Prescott and remains a low -end starter in all the leagues before week 2 against the Giants.
Drop candidates: Darren Waller. It was a good week for tight ends, so there are not many guys to move on. Waller did not play in week 1 in Indianapolis, and we do not know when he is ready to leave. Given the options on the waiver, whoever matters on Waller should find a replacement before week 2.
