Far from their best, Dodgers still find a way to beat Royals

Kansas City, Mo. – Dave Roberts has a high bar for its $ 400 million baseball team.
Of course, the Dodgers entered Friday winners of 13 of their 17, tied for the best overall baseball record and leading the West National League by six games.
Of course, they already have an all-star guaranteed to Shohei Ohtani, and seven other finalists who qualified for the second stage of the vote of the fans which will start next week.
But, in the eyes of their manager, “I still don’t think we play our best baseball,” Roberts said on Friday afternoon. “I don’t think we played full baseball for a section.”
Friday evening, the Dodgers were still not at their best. Dustin May only managed four innings in a four -point departure. The range has only produced four sure in total. Teoscar Hernández made a defensive error in the outside field. And the enclosure of the lifts danced in and out of the problems in the section.
But at the moment, in the middle of this sweet part of the team calendar, erroneous performance has often been sufficient.
And during the 5-4 Friday victory against the Royals of Kansas City who seriously collapsed, it was once again proven to be the case.

For all the gaps of the dodgers, they did just enough to compensate for an opening match of the series at the Kauffman stadium.
May abandoned a race in the first after having left three right strikers to reach with two withdrawals, but not before Ohtani opens the score with an entry.
Hernández has left a hard -on -line driving but capable of exceeding his head in the right field in the third, fueling a three -point royal rally which was punctuated by the explosion of two points of Bobby Witt Jr. but this was sandwiched by a two -point circuit of Max Muncy in the second, and a triple which does not care about Ohtani in the fifth.
Mookie Betts finally put the dodgers in front of a stick after the triple of Ohtani, distinguishing it at home to give the Dodgers an advance of 5-4.

And although the high number of May forced him to go out early against the Royals (38-44), an enclosure of the worn dodgers distributed five non-purpose frames, escaping their biggest jam in the ninth when Tanner Scott, closer, prompted a double game of game with the loaded bases.
It was not pretty, but it was still enough to move the dodgers in a single possession of the best record in the majors at 52-31.
This extent of prolonged domination always escapes them. But for the moment, they find ways to win anyway.
