If you ask me, TCL makes some of the best QLED TVs money can buy. While there is many differences between QLEDs and more expensive OLEDsthey can be difficult to spot without a trained eye, which means that for most people the savings will be worth it, especially when the QLED TV in question costs $800 more.

If you’re looking to buy a huge TV without breaking the bank, consider TCL’s QM6K QLED, which is currently on sale. $1,499.99 on Amazon for the 98-inch model, down from the original list price of $2,299.99. This is the lowest price it has reached, according to price tracking tools. While I don’t own this gigantic set myself, I’ve enjoyed a 65-inch QM6K for almost a year and am still impressed by its beauty, especially considering its price.

TCL’s QM range offers good value for money, regardless of size. The QM6K has 500 local dimming zones (based on CNET’s 8.6/10 rating) as well as a mini LED panel for improved contrast. Although the image is customizable, the color accuracy of HDR content is surprisingly good, which is ideal for people who don’t like to play with settings.

With the QM6K, you also get a native 144Hz refresh rate; HDR formats like HDR ULTRA with Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG; Dolby Atmos sound; an anti-glare screen; four HDMI inputs (including one eARC); and Google TV’s smart OS (my favorite OS) with Chromecast built-in, meaning you can easily cast content from your phone to the TV. You also get built-in Apple AirPlay 2 and Alexa, as noted in ZDNet’s review.

What do you think of it so far?

If you’re a gamer, there’s more to like about the QM6K, as noted in IGN’s 9/10 review. The Game Bar feature lets you adjust settings on the fly; there is also a VRR accelerator that doubles the refresh rate up to 288 Hz; and it also has AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, which allows you to enjoy smooth gaming on PC or console. There really is a lot to offer when it comes to an “entry-level” QLED TV.
