Two Tops jams have been recalled in several states and one city, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Tuesday. The products, manufactured by Mangalm, LLC, contain carmoisine, an unapproved red color additive that may pose health concerns to consumers.
The recall concerns two products:
- Names : Tops Mixed Fruit Jam and Tops Strawberry Jam
- Size: 475 grams
- Batch: 4F1101
- Expiry date: October. 6, 2026
The items were distributed in Utah, Portland, Washington and California.
If you have the recalled jams, do not eat them. Throw them away or return them for a refund. No illnesses related to the recalled jams have been confirmed, but the FDA recommends consulting a doctor and mentioning the products if you feel sick after consuming them.
