Pentagon Evaluating ‘Domestic Civil Disturbance Quick Reaction Force’ to Respond to Unrest in US Cities – RedState
A Tuesday report revealed that the Pentagon documents, the Trump administration is now considering plans to create a “rapid reaction force of civil disturbance” or a “QRF” composed of elements of the National Guard which would be equipped and staged to quickly mobilize to any American city which is confronted with imminent or emerging riots. The QRF could be carried out from the 2027 financial year in the context of the current pentagon budgeting.
Left commentators quickly reduced the contempt on the concept, after having already characterized the deployment by President Trump of the national guard troops and an invocation of the law on the rule of the House of the Columbia district to unite the DC metro police as “dangerous seizure of DC power”, of the “Dictator Playbook”, according to MSNBC. Host Rachel Maddow described this decision, saying Trump “… really likes to use the American military force against American civilians on American soil and wants any excuse to do it everywhere.”

However, the documents of the plan, which are identified as “pre -decisial” according to the Washington Post, paint a very different image. They detail the creation of a force of only 600 members of the permanent waiting staff, capable of deploying in less than an hour, divided into two elements of 300 soldiers each, stationed in Alabama and Arizona, respectively, and responsible for the United States of eastern and Western continental states (CONUS).

According to the WAPO, the plans describing the rapid reaction force were calendar in July and early August. Addressing the potential benefits of the program, the documents indicated: “Support of the National Guard for [Department of Homeland Security] raises potential political sensitivities, questions concerning civil-military balance and appropriate legal considerations linked to their role of non-partisan force. »»
The concept or the force was tested, revealed the documents, during the presidential election of 2020, with 60 soldiers organized in Alabama and Arizona about to respond to the troubles in cities, as reported by Fox News.
