File Your Taxes With TurboTax Full Service Now Before Prices Go Up

Tax day is April 15 of this year, which means we have less than a month to file an application without penalty or need to request an extension. The cost of filing with a tax service increases the longer you wait, and if you’re like me and have complicated taxes, you’ve been procrastinating. Consider this your sign to file now. TurboTax is currently offering a deal for combined federal and state filings for just $150 for the Expert Full Service for new customers, but this deal is only good through March 18.

TurboTax offers three tiers of services for filers: DIY, where you file yourself with step-by-step instructions; Expert Assist, where you can get help from tax experts throughout the process and have the expert review it before submitting; and Expert Full Service, where you can have your taxes paid in full by a local tax professional. Prices vary for each tier, but Expert Full Service isn’t cheap: Federal starts at $89 to $129, and the final price varies depending on the complexity of your taxes. Plus, state taxes are an additional $59 per state, so if you have a lot of forms and/or states, this flat rate deal could mean a significant savings.

Speaking of which, if you’re a small business owner or have a complicated tax situation, Expert Full Service is probably worth a look. Having an expert record for yourself is best for those with S-corps and partnerships; TurboTax will even connect you with a small business tax expert who knows your industry to maximize your deductions. With this service, you can choose to submit your taxes online or in person. The tax professional will then take care of everything related to your taxes, signing and filing for you. Plus, you’ll only have to pay the $150 once your taxes are filed.

This offer only applies if no TurboTax expert filed for you last year. Otherwise, the final price varies depending on the complexity of your taxes and forms, and the state is billed separately.

To take advantage of this offer, start filing with TurboTax Expert Full Service or select “Prefer to File with an Expert” when prompted. If you’re eligible (meaning you didn’t use a TurboTax expert for a 2024 personal income tax return), your discount will be applied at checkout when you file your return by 11:59 p.m. ET on March 18.
