Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard took on hosting duties on Saturday evening live after the show’s hiatus, he begins with a sketch about generational conflicts and their deeply incompatible definitions of “selling.”

Wolfhard plays a teenager eager to hit the road with his indie band, much to the dismay of his father (James Austin Johnson). Not because Dad is anti-dreams or anti-music, but because he’s a pop star — and his son is absolutely not going to rock out to grunge shows in East Coast bars. The sketch revolves around very different ideas of artistic fulfillment between father and son, while finding time to accumulate chaos elsewhere. Dad’s bandmates continue to flirt with Mom (Ashley Padilla) shamelessly, adding another layer of absurdity to the family dynamic. These members include Curtis 5000 (Marcello Hernández), Cyber (Jeremy Culhane), and K-Dog (Andrew Dismukes), who is undoubtedly Kevin Richardson of the Backstreet Boys.
