During the 75 years that followed this stage, this installation saw thousands of rockets going to the sky, intended for terrestrial orbit, the moon, the planets and even beyond. From Cape Canaveral and Kennedy Space Center of NASA in nearby Florida, astronauts were launched on the first pioneering crew missions, went to Moon landings and helped build the international space station.
NASA Kennedy, a leading multi-user space with approximately 100 private sector partners and nearly 250 partnership agreements, is still the main launch site of the agency. The NASA SpaceX CREW-11 mission, which is part of the agency’s commercial crew program, will be launched from NASA Kennedy at the start of 12:09 p.m. HAE, Thursday, July 31.
