Five players listed as out for Tennessee-Alabama basketball game

No. 22 Tennessee basketball (20-8, 10-5 SEC) returns to action Saturday. The Vols will host No. 18 Alabama (21-7, 11-4 SEC) at the Food City Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. EST (ESPN).

Saturday will mark a second meeting this season between the Vols and Crimson Tide. Tennessee won 79-73 on January 26 at Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Beginning with the 2024-25 athletic calendar, the SEC made it mandatory for schools to provide public reporting on the availability of student-athletes to participate in each conference game in football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and baseball.

Injury report from Tennessee-Alabama basketball game

Tennessee junior forward Cade Phillips is out. He will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 basketball season with a recurring shoulder injury.

“We will sincerely miss Cade on the field and he is certainly disappointed that he will not be able to play the remainder of the regular season, but it is essential that he is healthy,” Barnes said on December 8, 2025. “Cade has done everything he can to survive this injury as long as possible.”

Freshman guard Clarence Massamba is also listed as out for the Vols against Alabama.

Davion Hannah, Keitenn Bristow and Collins Onyejiaka are listed as out for the Crimson Tide, while Labaron Philon is probable.
