Florida coach Kevin O’Sullivan suspended over regional rant

Florida has suspended the baseball coach Kevin O’Sullivan for the first three games of the regular season of 2026 following its lastaic language of blasphemies intended for site administrators during a regional NCAA region in Conway, South Carolina.
“The announced suspension is strengthening today Florida Athletics’ commitment to our standards, coach O’Sullivan accepting full responsibility for his behavior,” Sports Director Scott Stricklin said on Friday. “Sully has sworn to learn about experience and serve a best leader in the future.”
The NCAA Division I baseball committee also published a public reprimand in O’Sullivan for its aggressive behavior.
The Committee said that O’Sullivan’s actions on June 1 had violated an NCAA regulation which says that misconduct in a championship event is “any act of dishonesty, driving in waiting, non -professional behavior or violation of the law, occurring from the athletics of the championship through the end of the championship, which discredits the event or inter -school.”
O’Sullivan was turned upside down because the start time for the elimination match of his team against the Eastern Carolina – a defeat of 11-4 – was rejected by one hour. The previous match of the East Carolina had ended at midnight.
The Florida coach publicly apologized the day after his explosion, but the tirade videos were widely disseminated on social networks. Kevin Schall, coach of the Coastal Carolina host, tore O’Sullivan for the explosion at a press conference later in the day.
“He is a national champion coach who thinks he can come here and try to intimidate people,” said Schnall at the time. “Disappointed. Disappointed someone that many coaches admire, to act in this way.”
