Ferrari Cavalcade Suspended After High-Speed Crash in Argentina Involving a Purosangue

A violent collision involving a Ferrari Purosangue slowed down the Ferrari Cavalcade Aventura in Argentina, forcing organizers to end the whole party. Chaos erupted near San Martín de los Andes on Highway 237, where a white Purosangue – speeding at ridiculous speeds – darted into oncoming traffic, flipped like a pancake, then crashed into a tree with breathtaking force.
Witnesses and local sources say the prancing horse was screaming at a breathtaking speed of 200 km/h when it crossed the barrier. After the initial fishtail, the car traveled another 400 meters on the asphalt, about a quarter of a mile of pure carnage, before finally stopping. By then, the Purosangue was barely recognizable, twisted metal and broken glass littering the scene.
Inside? Two Americans, aged 66 and 68. The driver took the worst; both were rushed to hospital but surprisingly were released the next day. Luck or pure Italian engineering: make your choice.
The cops didn’t mince their words afterward: the speed and stupidity killed the mood. Dashcam footage floating online shows the Purosangue and a group of other Ferraris playing real Mario Kart, weaving through traffic on a forbidden stretch of road. Rumor has it that the driver was trying to catch up with the main convoy after falling behind.
But here’s the thing: This wasn’t an isolated, brash moment. Organizers had been sweating for days as drivers treated public roads like a private race track. Fines? Handed out like candy. Any warnings? Ignored. Residents were furious, emergency crews had been pushed aside muttering “I told you so,” and then…boom. The inevitable happened.
After the sinking, the authorities completely suppressed the Cavalcade. Every Ferrari in sight was grounded unless riding in a police tail. What was supposed to be a stylish, curated adventure through Argentina’s postcard landscape became a cautionary tale about being rich and being right-footed. A total face, thanks to unleashed power. The gathering limped off the stage, leaving behind tire tracks, ego bruises and a very expensive lawn ornament crumpled against a tree.
