Smoking Gun? Damning Emails Appear to Show Comey OK’d Leaks, Expected to Work for ‘President Hillary’ – RedState

If there’s anyone who should know a thing or two about malicious prosecution, it’s former FBI Director James Comey, who helped organize the corruption investigations into Donald Trump over alleged, never-proven “Russia collusion.” Now, it’s Comey himself who’s in the hot seat, as he’s been indicted by the DOJ on federal charges of making a false statement to Congress and obstructing a congressional investigation related to his 2020 Senate testimony.
His alleged lie: He denied authorizing anonymous leaks to the press about Hillary Clinton’s classified emails and Trump’s supposed and fabricated ties to Russian election interference plots.
However, according to John Solomon of Just the News, the DOJ has receipts showing otherwise:
Federal prosecutors revealed Monday that they had uncovered a trove of personal emails showing that then-FBI Director James Comey openly said in the days leading up to the 2016 election that he expected to soon work for President-elect Hillary Clinton and was kept informed by a senior FBI aide about efforts to anonymously provide information to the media.
Oops. Have you forgotten that, James?
Big developments today in the case against James Comey from John Solomon. The lead prosecutor in the case, Lindsey Halligan, released handwritten notes that were “found” by the FBI, which clearly show that Comey was well aware that his aide was leaking to the media. Try to defend that 😂
The notes also show that Comey thought he was going to work for President-elect Hillary Clinton after the election.
So the guy who protected Hillary Clinton’s emails and knew about the fake plan to make Trump look like a Russian agent thought he was going to get a new job?
They really never thought she would lose. Amazing.

Comey predictably responds to indictment with sanctimonious, sanctimonious video: ‘I’m innocent’
The DOJ argued that the emails prove that Comey knew about the leak, authorized it, but testified to the contrary:
Halligan’s filing says the emails showed Comey knew about and encouraged Richman’s contacts with the media, contrary to what he had claimed to Congress.
“Consistent with the correspondence described above, Richman corresponded extensively with members of the media regarding or on behalf of Defendant, including in an anonymous capacity,” the DOJ court filing states.
That wasn’t the only action in the case Monday — prosecutors also argued that Comey’s attempt to have the case thrown out because he was being prosecuted “vindictively” was hogwash:
Federal prosecutors on Monday urged the federal judge overseeing former FBI Director James Comey’s criminal case to reject Comey’s arguments that he is being pursued in a “vindictive” manner at the behest of President Donald Trump, in a court filing that directly defended Trump’s social media posts calling for charges against Comey.
“Through a mix of reporting, social media posts, and speculation, the defendant recounts what he calls ‘egregious constitutional violations’ that resulted in his indictment for making a false statement to Congress and obstructing a Congressional investigation,” prosecutors said in the filing. “When the rigorous legal standards are applied to the facts of this case, it is clear that defendant has failed to demonstrate that the Constitution requires the Court to take the extraordinary step of dismissing this case.”

Exhibit 13 includes damning and explosive evidence of then-FBI Director Comey’s handwritten note – on FBI Director letterhead – proving Comey’s knowledge of – and even participation in – the criminal Russian collusion plot against Trump.
As one of the most dishonest and sanctimonious characters in The Swamp, James “86 47” Comey finally faces music – and he doesn’t like it at all. These emails certainly seem detrimental to his case, to say the least.
