Several NFL Games Featured Moments of Silence for Charlie Kirk

Since Thursday, six of the nine games of the NFL have taken the time to offer a moment of silence following the brutal assassination of the conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
After Kirk, Kirk was murdered in a Utah college on Wednesday, Thursday evening’s match launched tributes with a moment of silence during the Green Bay Packers match and Washington commanders.
The moment of silence on Thursday was preceded by an announcement informing the fans: “The National Football League asks you to join us in a moment of silent reflection after the murder of Charlie Kirk. NFL condemns all violence in our communities. It will take us all to stop hatred. THANKS.”
According to Pro Football Talk, this was followed by five other teams, all of which published tributes to Kirk at the time of publication.
The Giants and the Cowboys had a moment of silence. Rams-Titans, Patriots-Dolphins, 49ers-Saints and Bills-Jets joined them.
The Seahawks-Steelers had a moment of silence for Craig Wolfley, who died during the offseason, but not for Kirk. The Steelers, however, manage their American flag in half the mast at the stadium in honor of Kirk.
The games that did not hold a moment of silence for Kirk include the Browns-Ravens, the Jaguars-Bengals and the Bears-Lions.
Six other games take place in the evening and two on Monday for the NFL Week 2.
