Footage Shows Russia and China Naval Maneuvers Challenging US in Pacific
Newly published images show that Russia and its almost anal China leading a naval patrol in the Western Pacific in the context of their military cooperation which questions the United States.

Russia has maintained what President Vladimir Putin calls a “limitless” partnership with China after the start of the war in Ukraine. The two nations have deepened military ties, with more than half of their 113 exercises combined since 2003 taking place in the past six years, as well as joint patrols in the Pacific involving strategic bombers and naval ships.
The most recent military activities of Russia – including joint exercise in 2025 and a joint maritime patrol – succeeded after their mutual opponent, the United States, organized Air Force War Games in the Pacific in July. The American forces also participate in two current exercises in Alaska and the Arctic in the concerns about the growing presence of the Russian and Chinese region in the region.

The details of the joint naval patrol remain unclear, including the routes taken. On August 12, the Pacific Russian fleet reported that three ships participating in the patrol were anchored in Avacha bay on the Kamchatka peninsula, 575 miles from the west of the Alaska Alawish Islands.
While the Russian and Chinese naval ships were underway, the United States sent a destroyer in the waters around the Aleutian islands in the context of operations supporting the “defense of the Maritime Fatherland”.

The white defense of Japan 2025 said: “China further strengthens its cooperation with Russia, including in military activities. It has also waged joint bombers and naval navigation with Russia in the surroundings of Japan. These repeated joint activities are clearly intended for the demonstration of force against Japan and are a serious concern from the point of view of national security in Japan.”
What happens next
It remains to be seen if the Russian and Chinese soldiers will lead additional joint joint activities this year, in particular joint patrols. Last summer, the two nations deployed their bombers off the coast of Alaska, which pushed us and Canadian fighter planes to intercept them.
