Former Steelers WR Calvin Austin sends heartfelt farewell to fans

Calvin Austin III officially left the Pittsburgh Steelers in free agency following his decision to join the John Harbaugh-led New York Giants — but not without a proper farewell to the Black and Gold faithful.
In a short video posted to TikTok on Monday, Austin showed love to Steelers Nation as he thanked the fan base for support following the news of the Giants’ signing.

“I’m going to lie, being in Pittsburgh, I definitely knew and felt the love from the people in the city,” Austin said. “Whether that was being in the city, training camp, whatever, people know that Pittsburgh fans are passionate. I knew I was going to get a warm reception, but that — I was not expecting that. Ya’ll showed out. Thank you. You know what I’m saying? From me to ya’ll, I love you guys.”
Austin continued that he didn’t know how to react after hearing all the support from Steelers fans and that it almost made him emotional.
We at Steelers Wire wish Austin nothing but the best as he heads to New York to play a big role in the Giants’ offense, potentially setting himself up for a breakout year with former rookie sensation Jaxson Dart under center.
