Former Steelers WR George Pickens lighting up Cowboys training camp

Of all the big movements that the Pittsburgh steelers have made this offseason, the trade which sent the wide receiver George Pickens to Dallas Cowboys surprised us the most. After exchanging the large DK Metcalf receiver and transmitted a wide receiver in the draft of the NFL 2025, we were delighted to see the tandem of Metcalf and Pickens there with Aaron Rodgers throwing them football.

Things did not work and now Pickens is in Dallas and forms one of the best tandems in the NFC with Ceedee lamb. Meanwhile, the Steelers sort between Calvin Austin III, Roman Wilson and Robert Woods for their other starter. At the same time, Pickens lights up the Cowboys camp and seems to make a huge game with each training.

With the aggressiveness of the steelers this offseason to add talents, each movement they make will be under the microscope. If Pickens has an escape campaign and the Steelers offensive is struggling, there will be a lot of second guess.

The Steelers drafted Pickens in the second round of the NFL 2022 draft in Georgia. The talent of Pickens has never been in question, but its maturity and its work ethics were. The Steelers gave Pickens three seasons, but he never seemed fully determined to play in this offense.
