France and U.K. Get Roped Into Trump’s Iran War

President Trump’s executive orders were intended to prevent law firms that opposed him from doing business with the government and threatened their clients with losing their government contracts. While some companies capitulatedsuch as Skadden and Paul WeissPerkins Coie, WilmerHale, Jenner & Block and Susman Godfrey have decided to challenge court orders.
The firms won several victories, with judges ruling in favor of Wilmer Hale, Perkins Coie, Susan Godfreyand Jenner & Block in several decisions. Until Tuesday, the administration was going to back down from these losses, but then changed its mind. It is unclear why the Trump administration decided to reverse course, or whether the court will allow the DOJ to overturn his dismissal.
An anonymous administrative official told the Times that the White House Counsel’s office was discussing the next course of action. Did Trump himself intervene personally, or are the DOJ and the White House not on the same page?
