France threatens Tesla with fine over ‘deceptive’ claims, FT reports
Investigators in French competition, the Directorate General for Consumption and Consumption of Business and DGCCRF demanded that Tesla (Tsla) Stop “deceptive” complaints on the level of autonomy of its cars or faces thousands of euros in fines, the Ian Johnston and Kana Inagaki report of the Financial Times. A survey by the DGCCRF revealed that Tesla was engaged in “misleading business practices” concerning the capacity of its Tesla vehicles to be “completely autonomous”, as well as to deceive customers on the availability of certain options for their cars, according to investigators. Tesla received the order to comply with the order within four months or to face fines of EUR 50,000 per day for each day that it does not comply.
