Gaming accessory maker and publisher Nacon files for insolvency

French AA game developer and accessories maker Nacon has filed for bankruptcy after its majority shareholder Bigben failed to repay its loan, the company said in a press release. “To date, the company declares that the available assets do not allow it to meet its debts,” writes Nacon. The goal in insolvency, he said, was to allow “operations to continue, protect employees and maintain jobs while renegotiating with creditors.”
Nacon is behind the games Styx: Blades of Greed and was about to publish Terminator: Survivors before this title is delayed. He published Hell is us last year to some praise, but Test the unlimited solar corona was buggy upon release and failed to find a large audience. The company will stream its upcoming Nacon Connect presentation on March 4 and will supposedly showcase new games and footage for previously revealed games like Endurance Motorsport Series And Cthulhu: the cosmic abyss.
The company also manufactures hardware like controllers, headsets and racing simulation accessories through its Revosim brand. These products never really appealed to mainstream gamers, but enjoyed some success with the professional gaming audience.
With the insolvency of Nacon, the future of these games and accessories is now in question. A court will rule on the company’s insolvency application at a hearing in early March, but in the meantime trading in its shares is suspended.
