PepsiCo has rolled out “Simply NKD” Cheetos and Doritos varieties that are free of artificial colors and flavors. The product launch comes under pressure from federal regulators, including U.S. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who said the government would phase out synthetic, petroleum-based dyes in the nation’s food products by the end of next year.
