Konami’s 2004 Stealth Classic Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is one of the best games ever made. However, the idea of a remake did not mention exactly the joy that one would generally obtain when hearing their favorite game is redone. After the fallout between Konami and the designer of the Hideo Kojima series and the hiatus of the 10 -year series that follows (not to mention the terrible Metal material survives), I had my doubts.

And yet, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is fantastic; There are no annoying changes in history or rhythm like the Silent hill 2 Remake, or really all attempts to touch the game that I love so much … because it’s always this game.
Metal solid delta is firmly in the Deadly Cross Luxury Remaster Or Zelda’s legend: Link Awakening Remake camp as it is so indebted to the source material that it has difficulty finding an identity that is its own outside the fact that it seems pretty now.
Remember Alamo

Snake represents the earliest point of Metal Gear Chronology, in which you play like a naked snake before becoming the legendary Big Boss soldier In the midst of the Cold War. A rescue mission that went wrong means that he must fight his mentor, the boss, destroy the non-metal, Shagohod robot and prevent the Cold War from becoming hot.
Naked Snake is by far the most convincing protagonist in the series, by the pure virtue of being the most relatable. Solid Snake and Raiden were raised to be the greatest possible soldiers, while Naked Snake is just a guy.
At first, you see him shoot a stupid smile because he realizes that he can drop a hive on someone; He completely blocks the advances of the sleeping agent Eva because he is so in love with the cool pistol that she gave him. These small touches make him a much more convincing character and allow the finish to provide an absolute punch to his highlighting point.

Your main opponents this time are the Cobra unit, a group of legendary soldiers like the one who draws bees out of his mouth or the sniper who is 100 years old and can die from old age if you save the game during his fight and come back later.
Then there is the main antagonistic trio of the Snake mentor, the boss; Revolver of the Araple of the Ocelot series in its embarrassing first years; And Volgin, a sadistic colonel who is also filled with pump that he is a heinous human being.
There is really no character in Snake This seems underdeveloped. I am generally not a big person in the audio newspaper, but I found myself returning to the Codec call screen to chat with the allies of Snake – even after having beat the game several times before – just because I like the jokes between them.
There are even characters who appear for literally a scene – like the Soviet scientist Aleksandr Granin – and are unforgettable thanks to the monologue and the exhibition sequences of Kojima.
The mission or your beliefs?

Snake Eastern the series from its then standard military base infiltration – where stealth was simpler – and moved to the Russian jungles. Now that you are dealing with foliage, caves, mountains and strange camp, stealth is very free.
In Metal solid delta, That’s about how you remember, the only difference being that the game control scheme has been updated to be more in line with the later entrances in the series. He presents the excessive shoulder camera and the squatting walking from Metal Gear Solid 4 (which was implemented in the 3DS Eater 3DS version) and makes orders more in line with a standard third -person shooter (triggers to aim and shoot, surround to hang, etc.). But you shouldn’t expect something revolutionary.
SnakeThe other major addition was that of survival mechanics. You can change camouflage to help you mix in environments, eat food (including snakes, funny enough) to keep your endurance and heal various injuries and conditions. In the original, these were accessible via the break menu, but although this is always the case, this time, it was somewhat rationalized.
Respect for D-PAD will open a camouflage menu for you, showing certain combinations you can switch to in an instant; When you are injured, the pressure will also bring you directly to the healing screen. Again, it’s nothing transformer, but it’s a great update to the quality of life. You also get an automatic wave each time you enter a new area, which makes the most difficult race for challenge – Foxhound Rank – less unpleasant.
Best song

Snake is a game filled to the brim with memorable moments, but the visual fidelity and the updated foliage really add to the intensity of the battle of elite shooters with the end. Which was already one of the best battles in the series gets an even more difficult boost to find your opponent.
But Metal solid delta Really does nothing new. All level arrangements, enemy placement and objects are exactly the same as on PS2. It is so strictly indebted to the original that you can question the guards, and they will always give you codes to use in PSP Metal speed acid, Which is no longer even a game that you can buy officially. In addition, the opening and fence credits are torn directly from the original (many names of Hideo Kojima’s name), you had to enter the Extras menu to really see the new development team.
Admittedly, this brings some of the things to which I would not expect, including things that have been removed from subsequent reissue like the Snake vs monkey Fashion, which is not as fantastic as the other half of this Gear X Metal Gear exhaust Crossover, but it’s a funny little distraction.
In addition, there is an “inheritance mode” option which allows you to return to the complete original control scheme with fixed cameras, a visual filter and the old versions of the opening theme and the main menu.
Kuwabara Kuwabara

The other major change with Metal solid delta That’s what it looks like, with the Russian jungle made beautifully in Unreal Engine 5, and I really can’t blame him on this front. However, character models have a problem. On paper, they look great, and some characters really take the new style – like Volgin, whose facial scars are much better and more identifiable with new technology. But others like Ocelot and the boss, seem a little strange to points, the face feeling at certain angles.
This is associated with Metal solid delta using the original vocal records of Metal Gear Solid 3 With only new minor lines recorded to cover the various control patterns and some Easter eggs during codec calls. Metal Gear The voice game is always quite exaggerated, and as such feels a little bizarre out of the mouth of these models of hyper realistic characters.
Metal solid delta is in a strange place. I don’t think a massive overhaul like the resident Evil The remakes would have gone well in a post-Kojima version, so I understand why Konami redid it in this way (and frankly, this is probably the way I wanted to see it again). But, at the same time, I don’t really have an idea of what the series looks like in the future as I could with the Remake Silent Hill 2 Because it’s so faithful.
But whatever, it’s always a remake that feels great to play and (especially) looks fantastic. He does not do much to cut his own unique identity, but as a whole package, Metal Gear Solid Delta is as much a masterpiece as the original snake eater in 2004.
Play it if …
Don’t play if …
Accessibility
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater offers a number of accessibility options.
The majority of them are based on the control allowing you to exchange entries maintained in TAP. For example, when you drag an enemy, you should usually keep the button all the time, but you now have the option to type once to enter and press again to let go.
There are also in-depth subtitle options allowing you to choose sizes, backgrounds and speakers names with separate options for gameplay and cutscenes. There are tight filters present, but these are specifically for the user interface and do not seem to have an effect in the game.

I played 30 hours of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater On PS5 PRO on a Samsung Q60d TV and a Samsung HW-T450 soundbar.
Meanwhile, I finished 16 hours of play on normal in the new style with the majority of objects and hidden weapons, defeated each enemy and boss in a non -fatal manner, reaches the rank of Tsuchinoko and learned the Timing Parry from the final boss to the hard.
I also finished the virtuous mission in Hard in heritage mode and I finished the new game + on Extreme, reaching the Foxhound rank which is the most difficult challenge of the game – I made a little less extreme thanks to the cars.
