Smithsonian Explaining Why It Changed Presidential History Display Leaves ‘Resist Trump’ Media in Tears – RedState

The leftists have become completely apoplectic not to be allowed to direct the “Resist Trump” movement of the interior of the house, so to speak, since President Trump was elected to a new term in November 2024. As Redstate already wrote in March, the president signed a new decree aimed at restoring “the restoration of truth and mental health in the American history” Institution.

Then in July, in the same sense in a story of my colleague Jim Thompson, we covered the Smithsonian managing to ruin even the exhibitions of pop culture with progressive political interpretations. Thompson wrote:

… Apparently, the Smithsonian abounds with ideologists. Recently, the museum has, thanks to unilateral signs … and the elimination of important and impactful people and historical things, has tried to give conferences with an ideology which is an anathema for most Americans.

One of these presentation signs has been found as the subject of Lefty’s last non-trafic, with the inherited media showing that he cannot bear the fact that their resistant colleagues lose their grip on the rewriting of the history of American cultural pillars like the Smithsonian, as Usa Today does here:

The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History in Washington, DC, eliminated the references to President Donald Trump in a dismissal exhibition, although Trump is the first and the only president of the American history to be dismissed twice. But the museum says that this decision is temporary.

The Washington Post reported the change on Thursday, July 31 for the first time on Friday, August 1, the Smithsonian said the museum’s dismissal. Here’s what we know.

The “Impeachment” display is hosted in the largest permanent gallery called “The American Presidency”, which opened in 2000, according to a declaration sent by email from Smithsonian. He offers information and artefacts on Andrew Johnson, Bill Clinton and Richard Nixon, according to the display website. Nixon resigned before he could be officially dismissed.

The institution patiently explains the reason for common sense of change – the label has never been supposed to be permanent:

In September 2021, a “temporary label on the content concerning the dismissal of Donald J. Trump” was added, according to the Smithsonian declaration. “It was intended to be a short -term measure to approach current events at the time, however, the label remained in place until July 2025.”

The display has since been returned to the way in which it appeared almost 20 years ago, according to Smithsonian’s declaration and the Washington Post report, which also noted that the exhibition said now: “Only three presidents were seriously confronted with a withdrawal”, omitting Trump.

“By examining our content inherited recently, it has become clear that the” limits of presidential power “section in” The American Presidency: A Glorious Burden “was to be processed,” said the museum statement. “Because the other subjects of this section had not been updated since 2008, the decision was made to restore the case of” indictment “in its appearance in 2008.”

You can see the hatred of the left suining practically here, while in the same paragraph, they are forced to admit that Trump’s dismissal are noted: (added highlight)

The companion’s website for display does not include a dedicated section for the dismissal of Trump But in an introductory sentence, “the House of Representatives dismissed Andrew Johnson in 1868, William J. Clinton in 1998 and Donald Trump in 2019 and again in 2021. In the four cases, the Senate voted to pay.”

Guess what the dishonest left cloth leaves out? A quick glance at the companion’s website they mentioned shows that there are four other subjects in this section (“limits of power”) in addition to dismissal: the congress, the Supreme Court, public support and the press. However, they try to portray the whole exhibition as dedicated to dismissal in the title, “Smithsonian explains why a reference of Trump was withdrawn from the dismissal exhibition”. These people really cannot leave their biased program against the 45th and 47th president.

The declaration continues, ending with a timely recall on the federal funds for anyone on the left which could be interested:

“A future and update exhibition will include all the dismissal,” said the Smithsonian press release, noting that updating and renewing permanent galleries “requires a lot of time and funding.”

The Smithsonian also tweed a similar declaration on Saturday, with more details on what they saw as the problems with the sign, while giving a calendar when the updates are finished:

The sign, which was to be a temporary addition to a 25 -year exhibition, did not meet the standards of the museum in appearance, in location, in chronology and in global presentation. He was not consistent with other sections of the exhibition and also blocked the view of objects inside his case. For these reasons, we deleted the sign. An administration or other government official did not ask us to withdraw the content from the exposure.

The section in question, “dismissal”, will be updated in the coming weeks to reflect all the procedures for indulging in the history of our country.

The left shed tears on something like it is delicious. They really have nothing better to do than crying what is probably nothing more than household interviews expected for a long time.
