President Donald Trump threatened on Tuesday that the federal government is taking control of Washington, DC, after an assault against a member of original staff well known to the Ministry of Government in the National Capital during the weekend.

Edward Coristine, also known by his online name, “Big Balls”, and a woman characterized in a police report like her significant other was the victims of an attempt at an unarmed diversion on Sunday early.

Washington metropolitan police announced on Tuesday the arrests of two 15 -year -old suspects from Maryland.

In an article on social networks that did not mention Coristine by name, Trump described crime in Washington as “completely out of control”.

“The local members of” young people “and gangs, some of 14, 15 and 16 years old, attack, aggravate, mutilate and shoot innocent citizens at random, knowing at the same time that they will be almost immediately released,” wrote Trump on Truth Social, saying that minors as young as 14 should be judged as an adults.

“If DC does not come together, and quickly, we will have no choice but to take federal control of the city, and to manage this city how it should be managed and to put the criminals in note that they no longer stick,” he added.

Former Doge, Elon Musk published a screenshot of Trump’s Social Post on X and echoed his call for the federal government to take control of Washington.

Musk also referred to an unnamed DOGE staff in his post.

“A few days ago, a gang of about a dozen young men tried to attack a woman in his car at night at DC,” wrote Musk on X. “A member of the @doge team saw what was going on, ran to defend it and was seriously beaten at the stroke, but he saved it.”

The police report said the vehicle belonged to Coristine.

The report added that the police saw around 10 “juveniles” surrounding the car and attacating Coristine, which prompted the police to get out of their vehicle and all the miners except two, that the police arrested, to flee. The police said that in an interview, Coristine said that he had pushed the woman identified as his significant other in the car and “turned to take care of the suspects”, who in turn attacked him.

Police said the case was investigated by the hijacking working group with several pending suspects.

Jeanine Pirro, the American lawyer of Washington, published a video on X on Tuesday saying that she had just met Trump to discuss “crime in the national capital”.

“Our job is to remove the street guns from the street, to drug the street, to take care of people who threaten, divert other people and make this city again safe and clean.

She did not mention Coristine in her video.

Despite Trump’s claims of violence “out of control” in the city, violent crimes are down 26% compared to last year, according to preliminary police figures. At the same time, the presumed attack on Coristine occurs about a month after a 21 -year -old congress trainee was taken in cross -fires and shot in Washington.

Trump previously expressed the desire to “clean up” the national capital and threatened a federal takeover of the city, which already has a limited capacity for self-government. Congress has the capacity to cancel these powers at its discretion and the president’s discretion.
