Inter appointed the 45-year-old as their new head coach in June after cutting ties with Simone Inzaghi.

Despite his lack of experience in high-level management, Cristian Chivu impressed the club’s hierarchy early in his tenure.

Indeed, Chivu guided Inter to a flawless four-match record in the Champions League.

Furthermore, the San Siro The giants remain firmly in the race for the Scudetto despite losing their last Serie A match against AC Milan.

Meanwhile, Simeone has built a dynasty at Madrid since taking charge of the club in 2011.

However, one of European football’s longest-serving managers has hinted at a potential return for Giuseppe Meazza in the future.

When asked if he considered the Metropolitano stadium as a source of inspiration for the San Siro project, Marotta replied: “San Siro has always had its charm, but this is an opportunity to see a modern stadium.

“The need for a new stadium in Milan was essential. The process will be long, but we cannot forget what San Siro has given us over these decades.
