Giants LT Andrew Thomas active for season debut against Chiefs

The giants received a big boost to their offensive line, because the left platform Andrew Thomas was active for his debut of the season Sunday evening against the Chiefs of Kansas City.
Thomas described himself as a “play decision”, and he was officially listed as questionable before the opening match of week 3 at the Metlife Stadium.
The return of Sunday has marked the first time that Thomas had been active since last week of last season, when he suffered a Lisfranc tear in his right foot which required surgery.
“I feel good. Three days in a row, for the first time, doing this,” said Thomas, 26, Friday. “Starting to build a volume, recovering my confidence. So it’s exciting.”
Thomas, the overall choice n ° 4 in 2020 and an All-Pro from the second team in 2022, is among the best blind protectors in the NFL, but he had trouble staying healthy.
Since the signing of a contract extension of $ 117.5 million over five years before the 2023 season, Thomas had missed 20 of the 36 possible games before Sunday. The giants were 3-17 years old in the matches that Thomas missed, against 6-10 with him in the programming.
“If I speak as a competitor, I wanted to be there of week 1,” said Thomas. “But the best thing for the team and myself is that I am 100%.
The Swing James Hudson III swing sets started the first two games of the giants in the left tackle, but it returned six pressures during week 1 before having a historic collapse in week 2.
When the giants opened during the defeat of 40-37 in last week extension against the Dallas cowboys, Hudson returned a bag and committed four penalties. Two of the penalties were intended for unnecessary roughness, including a pass from the Rusher James Houston which caused a fine of $ 12,172.
The Recruit Marcus Mbow platform replaced Hudson to start the second trip of week 2 and finally played 76.1% of snaps, against 23.9% of Hudson.
Giants Russell Wilson’s quarter-arre was dismissed five times in the first two games of the season.
Thomas’ return was particularly appropriate since the defensive coordinator of chefs, Steve Spagnuolo, is among the best in the NFL to compose the pressure. Spagnuolo is a quadruple winner of the Super Bowl as DC, including with the team of the Giants who beat the unbeaten New Enganterre patriots at the Super Bowl XLII.
Thomas was one of the three giant players listed as questionable in Sunday’s match. One of the others, the defensive player Chauncey Golston (ankle), ended up being inactive, while the shooter of the Tilner Olszewski (rear) was active.
The second Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (calf) and the defensive tackle Rakeem Nuñez-Roches Sr. (foot) were both inactive after being listed as doubtful. Second Darius Muasau (cerebral / eye concussion) had already been excluded on Sunday.
The offensive line player Evan Neal and the tight winger Thomas Fidone II were also inactive for the Giants, while Jameis Winston was an emergency quarter.
The chiefs, on the other hand, were a quick second -year -old receiver, Xavier Worthy, who suffered a dislocated right shoulder in a collision with his teammate Travis Kelce during week 1. Worthy was excluded on Saturday and did not take the trip to East Rutherford.
The recipient recruited Jalen Royals was active for Kansas City after being listed as questionable.
