Working with stylist Dimitris Giannetos, Hadid proved she’s still the blueprint for beauty trends with a brand new matte black bob, which we’re already predicting will be a major trend in the new year. The style, which Giannetos created for Maybelline, is a refreshing twist on the minimalist brunette bob. Rather than a glossy or dramatic wash of deep black color, Hadid’s look has a velvety finish that adds sophistication. As always, the bob is a cut that conveys power, confidence, and an effortless cool factor.
“I love playing with Gigi’s hair—she’s truly my hair muse,” Giannetos said of the supermodel’s new look. “She’s always open to creating something new, and this look is incredibly powerful on her.”

The matte black bob is perfectly aligned with 2026’s elevated minimalism, which emphasizes clean lines and a beauty that needs no embellishment. There’s a movement to Hadid’s bob, which hits just below the jaw, that’s precise but not rigid, making it incredibly versatile and flattering.
