SEC announces LSU MBB’s 2026 conference schedule

It’s a new year for the LSU head coach, Matt McMahon, and his new list of look, who is looking to make noise in the dry this season. As the non-conference calendar is still in preparation, LSU received its sec Slate on Wednesday afternoon when the conference unveiled its 144-game male basketball calendar.

This includes the 18 dates of play for LSU tigers while they enter the season with increased expectations.

The conference game takes place on Saturday January 3 and ends on Saturday, March and, with what the League calls “Rivality Saturday”, featuring several traditional league rivalries. The dry tournament returns to Nashville in Bridgestone Arena will host the event from March 11 to 15, 2026

Each SEC team plays the other 15 teams at least once during the League game. Three teams will be played a second time during the calendar – two who are permanent opponents and one that changes each year.

For LSU, permanent opponents are Texas A&M and Arkansas with this year’s third home opponent, South Carolina.

The Tigers will open the Sec Slate on the road on January 3 in Texas A&M before his first home game at the Pete Maravich Assembly, January 6 or 7 against South Carolina.

LSU will have five Saturday home games on its calendar: January 17 – Missouri; February 7 – Georgia; February 21 – Alabama; February 28 – Oklahoma; and, March 7 – Texas A&M.

The mid -week matches are listed Tuesday or Wednesday with those who play dates, hours of play and television information to announce on a later date.

LSU will announce its complete calendar without conference at its end. The Classic Emerald Coast Games in Niceville, Florida, have already been announced from November 28 to 29 with LSU playing Drake in the first round and Georgia Tech or DEPAUL. Two games of neutral sites will be announced the week of August 18.
