Go Time? US Navy HQ in Bahrain Reportedly on ‘Mission Critical’ Status As Potential Iran Hostilities Loom – RedState

Is war with Iran imminent? Or at least an attack from the United States? All signs point to it being close.
The USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group is positioned in the Arabian Sea, and the USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group is en route to the region and rapidly closing. Talks with the intransigent mullahs have stalled because they refuse to disavow their nuclear program.
On Thursday, there was yet another indication that the United States could be preparing to attack:
The US Navy’s 5th Fleet headquarters in Bahrain has been reduced to “mission essential” personnel in anticipation of possible US strikes against Iran, several US officials told Fox News.
There are now fewer than 100 people left at the facility. Before Operation Midnight Hammer last June, when the United States struck Iranian nuclear sites, the 5th Fleet headquarters was similarly evacuated.
The United States has increased its military assets in the Middle East in recent weeks as discussions continue between the United States and Iran over the future of Tehran’s nuclear program.
The ships of the Fifth Fleet have reportedly left port and are now at sea:

If negotiations fail, the United States could be at war next week, Fox News chief national security correspondent Jennifer Griffin said Wednesday:

Trump said during Tuesday’s State of the Union address that Iran had “sinister” intentions and he wanted to ensure it “never gets a nuclear weapon.”
“After Midnight Hammer, they were warned not to make any more attempts to rebuild their weapons program and, in particular, their nuclear weapons. Yet they continue to do it all over again. We wiped it out, and they want to do it all over again and are pursuing their sinister ambitions again,” Trump said Tuesday, referring to U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities last summer.

Treasury hits Iran’s ‘ghost fleet’ with new sanctions as tensions near boiling point
As we reported on Wednesday, the Trump administration is also trying to cripple the repressive regime by hitting it in the wallet and imposing sanctions:
“Iran exploits financial systems to sell illicit oil, launder profits, procure components for its nuclear and conventional weapons programs, and support its terrorist proxies,” said Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. “Under President Trump’s strong leadership, Treasury will continue to exert maximum pressure on Iran to target the regime’s military capabilities and support for terrorism, which it has prioritized over the lives of the Iranian people. »
The mullahs must be getting very nervous right now. They’ve been fooling around for too long and they might find out soon.
