GOP Nominee In Key Governor Race Rises 10 Points In Polling Against Dem Frontrunner

Virginia’s governor’s competition in the year tightens less than three months before election day, Lieutenant-Governor Republican by Virginia, Winstome Earle-Sears at the striking distance of his democratic opponent, according to a recent survey.
Earle-Sears, the GOP candidate for the governor, follows the former Democrat representative of Virginia Abigail Spanberger with seven percentage points, according to a survey of the Roanoke College published on Tuesday. “The race for the governor seems to be tightening, but Spanberger is still leading,” said Dr. Harry Wilson, acting director for IPOR [Institute for Policy and Opinion Research] And Professor Emeritus of Political Science at Roanoke College said in a statement. “Many Republicans seem to have” returned home “to Earle-Sears since the May survey, but the voters of Spanberger are a little more enthusiastic about the vote and more certain of their vote.”

Although Spanberger has always led Earle-Sears to investigations in recent months, the republican candidate seems to shrink the survey deficit while the two campaigns are preparing for a final sprint around November.
The Earle-Sears campaign burned Spanberger for refusing to specify how the former Democratic MP would governed on transgender issues and the policies of the sanctuary city while highlighting his voting file in support of the political agenda of former president Joe Biden.
“This kind of Beltway nonsense will only bring us back backwards,” said Earle-Sears in the announcement published last week which will be executed throughout the state on television, television, cable and digital platforms.
Spanberger’s campaign deployed its first negative announcement of the race on August 7 hammering Earle-Sears on the cuts of the Government Ministry of President Donald Trump (DOGE).
A left -wing political organization supporting the veterans’ campaigns also announced on Tuesday an advertising campaign of $ 500,000 to support the candidacy of Spanberger. Spanberger, a former CIA agent, is not a veteran of the American armed forces while Earle-Sears is a marine veteran.
In a potentially positive sign for the Earle-Sears campaign, 52% of voters in Virginia said that the state “goes in the right direction”. This result is a slight improvement compared to 45% of respondents who said that the Commonwealth was on the wrong track in May. Half of Virginia voters approve the work yield of the Republican governor as president as Glenn Youngkin, who saw a 46% bump since May, according to the survey.
Youngkin is prevented from presenting himself to a second consecutive term according to the limits of the mandate.
Spanberger is entering Earle when taking into account the favorability notes of the two candidates. The Democratic candidate has a net favorability rating of eight points, 44% of voters approving the Spanberger, while only 36% of respondents have a favorable impression of Earle seizures.
The multimodal survey of 702 residents of Virginia was carried out between August 11 and August 15 and has an error margin of more or less 4.3%. Only 14% of voters said they were undecided about their candidate for the post of favorite governor and 76% of respondents said they were very certain of their choice.
