Google inks $3bn US hydropower deal in largest clean energy agreement of its kind | Technology

Google has agreed to secure up to 3GW of American hydroelectricity in the largest power pact specific to the company in the world for hydroelectricity, the company announced on Tuesday, while Big Tech continues the expansion of eager energy data centers.
The agreement between Google and Brookfield Asset Management includes initial 20 -year -old electricity purchase agreements, totaling $ 3 billion, for electricity from two hydroelectric installations in Pennsylvania.
The technology giant will also take over $ 25 billion in data centers through Pennsylvania and neighboring states over the next two years, Semaor said on Tuesday.
