GPT-5 is getting panned on Reddit as Sam Altman responds

The GPT-5 came out, the first journals are in progress and they are not great.

Many fans of Chatgpt went to Reddit and other social media platforms to express their frustration and their disappointment with the new Openai foundation model, published Thursday.

GPT-5 is an improvement, but not exponential

Expectations for GPT-5 could not have been higher-and this may be the real problem with GPT-5.

Gary Marcus, a cognitive scientist and author known for his research on neuroscience and artificial intelligence – and a well -known skeptic of the IA -beaten media machine – wrote on his substitution that GPT -5 makes “good progress on many fronts” but disappoints in others. Marcus noted that even after investments of several billion dollars, “GPT-5 is not the huge jump of people expected for a long time”.

The last time Openai released a frontier model took place over two years ago with GPT-4.
