“Do Minnesotans really want to live in a community in which there are thousands of convicted murderers, drug dealers and addicts, rapists, violent released and escaped prisoners, dangerous people from foreign mental institutions and insane asylums, and other deadly criminals too dangerous to even mention,” Trump wrote.
He claimed that all the “ICE patriots” wanted was to “eliminate” these individuals. But last week, Minneapolis residents saw something completely different: an ICE agent senselessly killed a U.S. citizen, Renee Good, and was subsequently defended by all levels of government.
Good’s death sparked civil unrest in Minneapolis (and across the country), as well as requests for leave of federal immigration enforcement. But the Trump administration has redoubled its occupation, deploy around 1,000 additional people U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers.
