Gretchen Whitmer’s Munich Moment About AOC Manages to Double Down on the Embarrassment – RedState

We reported earlier how Democratic Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14) had a “crash and burn” moment while overseas at the 62nd Munich Security Conference in Germany.
AOC has thoughts on senior roles in the future. But this kind of effort certainly doesn’t support these claims.

When you bombard Kamala Harris with word salad as hard as you do, you tend to end up with the same results.

It was a throwback to Kamala, as our sister site Twitchy observed.
AOC: “What we are seeking is a return to a rules-based order that eliminates the hypocrisies that exist when too often in the West we look away from troublesome populations, to dramatize these paradoxes. »

“What we seek is a return to a rules-based order that eliminates the hypocrisies that exist when too often in the West we look away from troublesome populations, to dramatize these paradoxes.”
What did she say? There are a lot of words there, but not much discernible substance.
But it wasn’t just the AOC. As if she wasn’t bad enough, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, whose name has also been floated for higher office, decided she was going to top it off with her own problematic comment when asked what victory in Ukraine would look like. She actually said that AOC knows more about foreign policy than she does.

Do you rely on the AOC? It’s a… look. It’s just not a good one. Why be on such a panel if you don’t know foreign policy? Why didn’t Ocasio-Cortez and Whitmer study certain issues? And even if I hadn’t studied, I could have provided a better answer than either of them. And if the goal was for both women to show off their foreign policy skills, they sure blew it. They didn’t help themselves.
But perhaps that’s not surprising. Remember how Whitmer handled her presence in the Trump White House when she didn’t seem to want the media to record her presence? That didn’t go well for her either, when she tried to hide behind a folder.

I think VP JD Vance could watch this panel in Munich and smile at his chances, if it were against either of these two.
