Trump Recalls Disbelief When Learning About Charlie Kirk’s Assassination
President Donald Trump recalled the scary moment on Friday that he learned about the assassination of Charlie Kirk and the disbelief that immediately followed.
Trump shared his account for the first time since Kirk’s death during a live studio appearance on Fox & Friends. He spoke with architects of plans for a ballroom in the White House on Wednesday when someone entered the room to transmit the news.
“And so I was with the architects … and they entered, they said:” Charlie Kirk died. “I didn’t know what they wanted to say.” Charlie Kirk was shot, “said Trump.
“They thought he was dead because it was so horrible … and it was like … I just told these people to go out. I will. It’s the worst thing. It was so bad for our country, ”he added.
Trump also announced that a suspect, later identified as Tyler Robinson, 22, had been placed in police custody and that someone close to him had returned him. CNN reports that Robinson’s father returned his son to the authorities after admitting Kirk to assassinate him.
The ammunition recovered from the scene had registration of messages based on antifa like “hey fascist! Catch!” And “O Bella Ciao, Bella Ciao, Bella Ciao, Ciao, Ciao”, which are the words of an Italian song, Bella Ciao. The song has roots in the Italian communists, or supporters, in the Second World War and has become a hymn for radical leftists in the world.
Trump also told the hosts he would attend Kirk funeral when Ainsley Earhardt presented the state visit next week in the United Kingdom, where he will meet King Charles.
“I am also going to funeral for a great gentleman named Charlie Kirk, who should not have a funeral right now,” said Trump. “He should be there in front of people. He liked to do it. He was so good in this area. ”
“I mean, he had a big impact on the elections,” he added. “I had so many young voters, and no republican is never close. I dominated with young people, and this has never happened before. And I give him so much credit. ”
