Hailey Bieber Re-created Gisele Bündchen’s 2001 Victoria’s Secret Ad
Just when we think we’ve outgrown our ’90s and early ’00s nostalgia, Hailey Bieber and Victoria’s Secret bring us an image that’s the perfect nod to the brand’s Gisele Bündchen era. Better yet, it’s an image that hasn’t been recreated a thousand times and a thousand ways. It’s almost… fresh?
To kick off its Valentine’s Day campaign, the mall mainstay hired Bieber for a campaign that includes a playful image of the model painting her toenails while sitting in the bottom drawer of a desk. It pays homage to the cover of a 2001 catalog advertising a line of VS perfumes in which Bündchen poses in the same manner. Check out the original photo here and note that the Victoria’s Secret Instagram account commented with an eyes emoji and a letter-heart emoji.
The A Very VS Valentine campaign will also feature Isabeli Fontana, Maty Fall Diba and Alexis Carrington and will feature items like bras, panties, lingerie and pajamas, all with roses and hearts, which is perfect for the occasion, but that’s why there are no perfumes on display like in the original image, in case you were wondering. There are, however, Valentine’s Day scented mists available online, if you’re looking for a nice scent.
