Hamas has published a video of propaganda of an Israeli hostage visibly hungry alongside images of emaciated Palestinian babies which caused the international condemnation of the blockade of Israel of Gaza.
Un dated video was published late Friday shortly after Steve Witkoff, the American special envoy in the Middle East, and Mike Huckabee, American ambassador to Israel, visited an American and Israeli catering distribution site in Gaza, which was seized by Famine.
Un dated video shows Evyatar David, a young musician took the hostage alongside 250 others on October 7, 2023, when Hamas sparked a 21 -month war with a cross -border raid in southern Israel.
He is shown shirtless in a tunnel, his salient ribs, checking the days on a calendar drawn by hand.
The propaganda video, which his family asked the media not to broadcast, is interspersed with images of hungry babies and children, with a message declaring “they eat what we eat”.
Another video, published Thursday by a separate militant group which also holds Israeli hostages, showed Roma Braslavski, a reservist on leave, the glove and pale.
Propaganda videos were previously published when talks stalled, which caused a national outcry and renewed pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Witkoff went to Tel Aviv’s “Place Otgage” on Saturday morning, where the families of those who took in captivity begged Netanyahu to accept Hamas’ requests for a cease-fire.
Witkoff was the main American mediator, working with Qatar and Egypt to negotiate an agreement that would lead to the 50 remaining hostages – 20 of which are always estimated alive – Helped by Hamas.
These talks collapsed several times, more recently, two weeks ago, largely on the overall demand of Hamas that any temporary ceasefire ultimately becomes a sustainable truce. Netanyahu rejected this condition.
US President Donald Trump said on Friday that he was waiting to be informed by Witkoff on the humanitarian situation in Gaza, where widespread famine took place on a besieged population of at least 2 million civilians.
Israel strangled the entry of humanitarian aid to Gaza for the entire war, including an 80-day seat this year when it ended a cease-fire in March.
Since then, Israel has allowed in a net of UN aid and other humanitarian agencies. Rather, he supported the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, which manages four distribution sites in the South and the center of Gaza with American mercenaries working under the protection of the Israeli army.
Despite tens of thousands of hungry Palestinians in an hour walk from the site, Huckabee described the project as “incredible”, throwing its weight behind an Israeli attempt to replace a food distribution model not directed by the Hamsters in Gaza.
On Friday, the two American envoys put on vests of fire, with Witkoff sporting a Make America baseball cap, to visit one of these sites, leading through the rubble of the Southern Gaza Strip, where Israel almost finished the demolition of the city of Rafah.
International aid groups have criticized the basics of the violation of humanitarian principles and serve as a “fig leaf” to force the displacement of the Palestinians from the North and the center of Gaza in the South.
Local officials have said that more than 1,000 people had been killed by trying to receive help in recent months, many in the attacks by Israeli troops while trying to reach GHF sites. Israeli defense forces dispute the victims’ figures, while GHF said most of the victims have taken place far from their hubs.
A panel supported by the UN warned this week that the food packages that the GHF distributed were inadequate and “would lead to mass famine, even if it was able to operate without the appalling levels of violence that have been reported”.
