Has Trump Made 'Forever War' Impossible?

The long build-up to the US-Israeli attack on Iran has resulted in an almost unprecedented amount of stupid comments. Many have warned of a potential "eternal war" and a quagmire reminiscent of Iraq and Afghanistan. President Trump, however, devised a new method for dealing with sponsors of terrorism and guerrilla activities, and promised that if military action was necessary, there would be no U.S. occupation of Iran.
