Autocorrect can reduce the number of typing faults when you type, and predictive texts can facilitate the writing of a complete message in a few quick taps. But when I use these features, most often, they correct words, I don’t want to be corrected or suggesting words that I don’t want to use. And the others are also bored by the automatic and predictive text. Fortunately, you can easily deactivate these features in a few fast steps.

Here’s how to facilitate texts by deactivating some of the messaging features of your iPhone.

Disable predictive text online

Online predictive text was introduced in iOS 17 and is similar to the predictive text, but it places the text suggested in the text field in light gray. Apple wrote online that the predictive text online is intended to predict what you are going to write by typing, and if you press the space, the planned text would be added to your text. The functionality does not always predict what you are tapping, so if you press the space, you can add the bad text to your message. The gray text could also be distracting if you try to read what you write in real time.

If you don’t like online predictive text, here is how to deactivate the functionality.

1 and 1 Open Settings.
2 Faucet General.
3 and 3 Faucet Keyboard.
4 Press the switch next to Show online predictions.

Now when you type a message, you will not perform the risk of adding a word that you do not intend to add. You will always see predictive text, the words suggested and the Emoji, on your keyboard.

Turn off all the predictive text

If you find all the predictive text boring, you can also deactivate this too. Here’s how:

1 and 1 Open Settings.
2 Faucet General.
3 and 3 Faucet Keyboard.
4 Press the switch next to Predictive text.

The keyboards menu in the iPhone settings.

When you type a message now, you will not see a box on your keyboard with suggested words or emojis. Disabling predictive text also deactivates predictive text online, so you will not see any suggestion. You can type without interruption.

Deactivate

When Apple announced iOS 17, the company presented an improved automatic function. But some people could still be irritated by functionality and adjust self -cormented words. If you are fed up with automatic correction, here is how to turn it off.

1 and 1 Open Settings.
2
Faucet General.
3 and 3
Faucet Keyboard.
4
Press the switch next to Automatic correction.

Now when you type a message, your iPhone will not change words when you type them – including the swear on. However, you might see more spelling mistakes in your messages. If these errors accumulate and want to activate automatically again, simply follow the steps above once again.
