Here’s What Gavin Newsom Was Doing in the Early Days of the Riots As LA Burned (Updated) – RedState

The governor of California, Gavin Newsom, is a political element in the Golden State since the late 1990s, sitting for the first time for the San Francisco supervisory board from 1997 to 2004 before serving as mayor of San Francisco from 2004 to 2011. After that, he was elected Lieutenant-Governor of California, a post of governor of January 2019.

It is now limited, with the next elections of governors which will be held in 2026. Although there are murmurs on the question of whether the former vice-president Kamala Harris will jump into the growing fields of the suitors, Newsom does not focus on speculation on candidates or approvals. Instead, he would have a look at the ultimate price of an rooted and ambitious politico: the Presidency of the United States.

“It was not really a speech on California, which, on the basis of his file, he seems to care little about it – it was his first real salvo in the presidential elections of 28,” wrote my colleague Bob Hoge in response to the disastrous speech and filled with lies that Newsom made in the midst of the riots of Los Angeles. “He knows that he looks at his chances increasing in smoke like an electric vehicle in downtown Los Angeles, and it was his desperate attempt to put the ship back.”

Seeming to “worry” of “the state he has spent in decades to help his colleagues Democrats running on the ground is a means close to perfect to describe Newsom, who, like the readers of the Red Management, will remember, engaged in creeping democratic privileges during the cocovated pandemic, essentially locking his state below and having arched flames during the restaurant of intimate laundromat.

Unsurprisingly, Newsom’s priorities are again questioned after being reported that at the beginning of the anti-Glaces riots in Los Angeles, Newsom attended chic wine tastings:

The tasting of the wine took place in the afternoon of June 7, 2025 at the Odette Estate cellar, which Newsom co-founded in 2011. Nicknamed “Vineyard Vibes”, the event was a collective of funds for the Plumpjack Foundation, founded by Newsom’s sister, and presented “contemporary but sophisticated” wines, jazz music and pizza and pizza and pizza and pizza and pizza and pizza and pizza and Local pizza and pizza and pizza and pizza and and pizza and local pizes and pizza and and and and and and and pizza pizza and pizza and and pizza and pizza and and and peaks of local Smash. “It is the perfect kick -off for the pleasure of summer”, reads the promotional language. “The party will take place on the cellar cellar, where we will come together for music, food, conversation and delicious wine!”

A source that photographed Newsom during the event expressed a shock that the governor was present, since the riots had broken out in Los Angeles the day before. “I couldn’t believe it,” said the source. “He was walking as if it was a daily event.” Newsom was at wine festival for at least 90 minutes, according to the source, which said that when the governor finally left, he seemed to retire in the interior parts of his cellar.

The history of the City Journal noted that someone from the Newsom office said that the event was a collection of cancer funds, to which he “proudly proudly proudly proud … in honor of his mother, who died of breast cancer”.

Naturally, people had some thoughts:

Hoping that in 2028, the voters will be sober enough to see through Newsom BS, that I am sure that the vice-president Vance will undoubtedly be happy to remind people too.

Update: After the publication of this article, the Governor Newsom office provided the following declaration:

Let’s do the direct facts: it was a collection of cancer research funds – not a “wine festival”. While Donald Trump Golf in the bed bed the same dayAttend a UFC fight, and his Senior White House team literally published on Pop-Corn purchases, the governor proudly Attended an annual fundraising for the full center of Helen Diller UCSF family cancer, in honor of his mother, who died of breast cancer at 55.

Trying to run a family fundraising for cancer research on a political blow – while excusing a president who literally golfing after having emptied cancer research – is not only a nasty hypocrisy of your outlet. It is insulting for cancer survivors and their families.

And despite your statements, there were no generalized “riots” in Los Angeles when collecting cancer funds of the day on Saturday. The troubles were reinforced later in the week when Trump and JD Vance took advantage of a Broadway show and the defense secretary Pete in a baseball match.

Chief editor Jennifer Van Laar added an additional context:

Publisher’s note: Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration to our large country has practically stopped. Despite the lies of the radical left, new legislation was not necessary to guarantee our border, just a new president.
