Hotel fined for hygiene failures and Salmonella outbreak

A hotel in Australia has been fined for food hygiene violations linked to a foodborne outbreak that sickened 76 people.
The Terrigal Plaza Hotel in NSW was ordered to pay more than $53,000 (US$37,000) in fines and costs, and was found guilty of four offenses under the NSW Food Act 2003 in Gosford Local Court earlier this week.
