House Oversight Demolishes Hillary Clinton’s Effort to Spin Her Upcoming Testimony on Epstein – RedState
The Clintons have been delaying and avoiding testifying on the Jeffrey Epstein matter before the House Oversight Committee for months. But finally, the Committee had enough and actually voted to move a contempt vote out of the Committee. They even had some of the Democrats join them, so it was a true bipartisan decision.
The problem, of course, was a tough one for former President Bill Clinton and former Seccretary of State Hillary Clinton to get around. If they say they know nothing, why not just come in and say that, under oath? Unless they didn’t want to be cross-examined about specific questions?
But that put the Clintons on the spot. They were facing a floor vote for contempt of Congress. They were finally backed into a corner. They tried a last-ditch effort to get different terms to testify, but ultimately ended up caving and are now scheduled to testify, with Hillary Clinton on February 26, and Bill Clinton on February 27.

Now, Hillary is trying to spin again over the upcoming hearing, likely recognizing they didn’t come out very well after that back and forth.
So let’s stop the games.

She claimed they were “mov[ing] the goalposts,” which isn’t true. Indeed, she’s the one wanting to change the goalposts, other than how it was scheduled for others. Does she want to play to the public and filibuster the questions?
She talks about transparency, but then cuts off replies to her comments, so she doesn’t want to be challenged or called out for her claims.
But the Committee was hip, and they’re not going for a public hearing. This was one great response; they just demolished her and threw in a little history in the process.

The Clintons are going to Clinton and try to spin the facts.
On Tuesday, at the eleventh hour, their lawyers, Jonathan Skladany and Ashley Callen, said their clients accepted the terms of the depositions.
These terms are no different than any other deposition we have held on this case—even with Republicans like former AG Bill Barr and Secretary Alex Acosta.
Then they pretended that we were moving the goalpost when they received, along with the subpoenas, the House deposition guidance that explicitly mentions video recordings.
We are not going to debate the meaning of the word “is.” We are going to get answers for the American people. The full truth. The buck stops here.
That last sentence is gold.
They also noted that when she didn’t show up in January, that was also recorded, showing their empty chairs.

There are a ton of questions they can and should ask, everything from what Jeffrey Epstein was doing in those visits to the White House, what was Bill Clinton doing in that picture in the hot tub, did he ever go to Epstein’s island, and what was his relationship with Ghislaine Maxwell?

So their testimony should be very interesting. My guess would be they’re going to try to play the “I don’t recall” game. But that’s not going to go over well with such questions.
