Milwaukee woke up to a fresh blanket of snow on the ground Wednesday, Jan. 21, with more on the way later this week.
As of Wednesday morning, snowfall totals were between 1 to 2 inches across most of southeast Wisconsin, though some areas farther west saw upwards of 3 inches.
Milwaukee is expected to see an additional inch of snow Wednesday afternoon through evening, followed by another half inch when a blast of extreme cold hits the city starting Thursday, Jan. 22, according to the National Weather Service.
