How much rain fell in metro Phoenix? See rainfall totals

Metro Phoenix enjoyed some cool weather on Presidents’ Day with cloudy skies and light rain through the night.
The weather forecast for the week of Feb. 16 started cool with a high of 68 degrees on the cloudy day and a rain-filled night. However, metro Phoenix weather was expected to warm back up by Saturday, when residents could expect a high of 73 degrees and sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service.
Here’s what we know about rainfall totals Monday night, and future chances of rainfall this week.
How much rain fell in metro Phoenix?
Central Phoenix and the surrounding areas saw about 0.04-0.08 inch of rain, but areas near Scottsdale saw up to 0.28 inch of rainfall Monday night. The Verrado area in Buckeye even saw up to 0.47 inches of rain, according to the Maricopa County Flood Control District’s rainfall map.

Is more rain expected in metro Phoenix?
There is a chance of rain on Wednesday and Friday, but the rest of the week was clear, according to experts.
There was a 40% chance of rain on Wednesday in metro Phoenix. Precipitation was expected to be highest in northern Arizona around Payson, Prescott and Sedona, according to the National Weather Service.
On Thursday, central and southern Phoenix would maintain a 40% chance of rain, while northern Arizona shows a 90% chance of rain, according to the National Weather Service precipitation map.
Friday would be a partly cloudy day with a 20% chance of rain, according to the National Weather Service.
