Tropical Storm Chantal forms off the coast of the Carolinas

Miami – Tropical Storm Chantal formed off the southeast coast of the United States. The National Hurricane Center of Miamia says that tropical storm warnings have been issued for parts of the Carolines. Tropical storm conditions are expected in the areas affected later on Saturday.
At 9 a.m. Hae, the center of the storm was located around 150 miles (240 kilometers) in the south-south-east of Charleston, in South Carolina, and about 240 miles (385 kilometers) in the south-southwest of Wilmington, in North Carolina.
Chantal’s sustained maximum winds were measured at 40 MPH (65 km / h). It was moving north to 2 mph (4 km / h.
The Center of Chantal should move through the South Carolina coast on Sunday morning, said the Hurricane center. An additional reinforcement is expected before Chantal reaches the coast.
