This seemingly nondescript power bank looks like a large iPhone power bank or an Amex Black Card member’s deck of cards. But handle it like a Rubik’s Cube (it even clicks like one) and it transforms into an adaptable charger for iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods.
It has a rear stand and can therefore serve as a magnetic iPhone charging stand at home as well as a powerful battery pack on the road.
It comes in two battery capacities – the familiar 5,000 mAh (5K) and 10,000 mAh (10K) varieties – and two speeds: 15W K1 Pro And 25W K1 Ultra.

Design
The Kuxiu K1 Pro and Ultra are slabs of metal measuring not much more than a deck of cards and weighing a little more.
- 5000 mAh (19.35 Wh): 4.1 x 2.7 x 0.6 inches (10.5 x 6.9 x 1.5 cm); 6.4 ounces (182 g)
- 10,000 mAh (38.7 Wh): 4.1 x 2.7 x 0.8 inches (10.5 x 6.9 x 2 cm); 8.9 ounces (253 g)
The rear section can rotate up to 90 degrees, revealing a circular indent that will charge either an Apple Watch or a wirelessly rechargeable AirPods case (AirPods Pro 2 with MagSafe charging case work best). My AirPods Pro 1 charged wirelessly normally when sitting on a Qi pad, but the connection was spotty on the K1. AirPods Pro 2 with MagSafe charging case use MagSafe and are therefore connected immediately.
If your AirPods case isn’t compatible with wireless charging, you can connect a cable to the power bank’s USB-C port and charge that way.
You can charge two iPhones the same way: one wirelessly and one via the USB-C port.

When the iPhone charges in portrait orientation, the watch drapes over the corner of the back section. When iPhone is in landscape mode, it hangs at the top corner.
There are four small LEDs at the top of the sliding section to indicate the remaining charge of the external battery.
The K1 attaches to an iPhone with a vengeance (it houses 16 N52 magnets) and won’t let go until you take it apart, making it a reliable portable solution that won’t come apart when removed from your pocket while the phone is charging.

Performance
In our testing, the Kuxiu K1 Pro 10K Power Bank performed admirably, charging a worn-out iPhone 16 Pro from 0 to 100 percent, and then, once the iPhone’s battery was depleted again, it charged another 70 percent. This puts it at the top of our magnetic charging charts, beaten only by a few less versatile magnetic power banks, such as the Anker Zolo 10K Magnetic Power Bank (191%) and the EcoFlow RAPID 10K Magnetic Power Bank (190%). It matches the Anker Qi2 MagGo (10K) Power Bank at 170%, which is impressive because it’s the only one that can charge three devices at the same time.
In terms of charging speed, the K1 Pro uses Qi2 wireless technology which matches Apple’s MagSafe at 15W and beats merely “MagSafe compatible” 7.5W chargers. The new K1 Ultra uses Qi2.2 technology which can output up to 25W for iPhone 16 and later: iPhone 12-15 will charge at 15W. We would opt for the K1 Ultra even if your iPhone is currently pre-16, as the 25W will be ready when you upgrade.
While a 15W charger takes about 45 minutes to charge an iPhone from 0 to 50%, a 25W charger accomplishes the same mission in just over 30 minutes.
Connect a device via the power bank’s USB-C port and you’ll get a faster 20W connection. Some power banks can charge over cable at 30W, but 20W is still enough to quickly charge an iPhone. The power bank charges itself at 18W.
The Apple Watch charger is rated at 5W, which is enough to quickly charge the wearable although it’s not marketed as officially Made for Watch.

Kuxiu
The Kuxiu K1 Pro 15W, pictured above, comes in three colors, including Black and Desert Titanium, showing its original launch roots with the iPhone 16 series. The Kuxiu K1 Ultra 25W, pictured below, comes in two colors: black and cosmic orange compatible with the iPhone 17.

Alternatives to K1
We’ll be looking at multi-device chargers rather than just magnetic power banks with USB-C ports or cables, as the Kuxiu K1 is unlikely to interest anyone without an Apple Watch. There aren’t as many power banks for the Apple Watch as there are for the iPhone, so competition is tight.
I’m a big fan of the Anker MagGo Power Bank 10K for Apple Watch, which is a stubby stick with a pull-out watch charger, but aside from its built-in USB-C cable, there’s no wireless charging for iPhone.
A closer model is the OneAdaptr OneGo 3-in-a Travel Power Bank, which also folds out into a stand. Like the K1, it has a 10K battery, but its iPhone charger maxes out at 7.5W compared to the 15W Qi2 fast charger on the Kuxiu K1 Pro or a super-fast 25W on the K1 Ultra.

Price
There are lower list and actual prices, and these seem to fluctuate, so your best bet is to check the prices in our price comparison boxes here in this review, which show the 10K models. for the 5K K1 Pro, check out the links below. It’s more complicated than it needs to be, but it helps keep the price you pay as low as possible!
THE 5K Kuxiu K1 Pro has a list price of $99.99 / £76 / €86.95. THE 10K K1 Pro is priced at $109.99 / £84 / €95.95. However, Kuxiu appears to have a significant permanent discount on its products. At the time of writing, the 5K was priced at $56 / £43 / €49 and the 10K was priced at $67 / £51 / €59. It is available in Black, Gray or Desert Titanium colors.
THE K1 Ultra (10K only) is priced at $99.99 / £76 / €86.95. At the time of writing, the price was $79 / £61 / €69. It is available in black or cosmic orange.
Amazon also offers the 5K K1 Pro and 10K K1 Pro, as well as the 10K K1 Ultra.
For such high-performance external batteries, these prices are reasonable. The choice between the two will probably come down not to price but to size. The 5K K1 is about 0.2 inches thinner but doesn’t offer the impressive battery capacity of the 10K model.

Should you buy the Kuxiu K1 Pro and K1 Ultra 3-in-1 MagSafe Power Banks?
The Kuxiu K1 (Pro and Ultra) folds into a card pack size that will fit in your pocket (a large pocket for the 10K models) and transforms into a versatile and capable Apple multi-device charger when you need it while traveling or act as a handy iPhone stand at the base or coffee shop.
If you can upgrade to the K1 Ultra, you’ll future-proof your purchase for iPhones that support 25W charging, although the Ultra is only available with the larger 10K battery.
