Microsoft’s ‘My Apps’ tab brings other storefronts to handheld PCs

Microsoft began to test several windows and applications from the Xbox application, allowing PC readers with pocket hand as well as those who have Windows 11 test the possibility of downloading games from other services.
The “My Applications” tab in the Xbox PC application allows players to load applications outside the Xbox ecosystem, as defined by the Microsoft Store and Xbox Game Pass. Microsoft has not announced any partner, but an example of screenshot on the announcement of Microsoft Battle.net watch as well as the Gog Store and Microsoft Edge.
In recent months, Microsoft has started testing new ways for players to have access beyond Xbox and Game Pass ecosystems. In June, the company began to test an aggregated game library, where the Xbox initiates could launch games from Bataille.net “and other leading stores” in the Xbox PC application. In July, Microsoft added the possibility of broadcasting more than 250 games beyond the playing library without the need to install them.
This most recent announcement seems to change the aggregated library to allow users to download the store applications themselves, as well as an organized selection of applications.
“As an initiated one, you will initially have access to a tailor -made applications that you can display and download, and we will extend additional applications over time,” said Microsoft.
Like other announcements, Microsoft personalizes this new “My Applications” page at the Asus Rog Xbox Ally and Ally X, which will start shipping in October.
“My applications allow players of an Rog Xbox ally or other Windows 11 labor computers to navigate more easily between applications from the full Xbox screen experience, a new functionality optimized specifically for portable games,” said Microsoft. The company wishes to minimize the substantive activity which can steal the cycles of the processor and the frequencies of images from portable games, which makes sense.
