How to Use Voice Typing on Your Phone
Press the small “I” icon to the left of the toolbar if you need more prompts on the voice commands you can use. If you want to continue using voice entry in other entrance boxes and other applications until you deactivate it, double the microphone icon.
If the voice typing does not work, check that it is activated (it should be, by default): from the parameters on Android, choose System> Keyboard> Speed keyboard> Goard> Vocal typing. The same screen allows you to activate offline access for functionality, and activate or deactivate automatic punctuation breaks while you speak.
The vocal typing process is similar on other types of Android handsets, although it is not identical. On Galaxy phones, the Samsung keyboard is the default value, and with this keyboard, the micro icon, you must press, is in the lower left corner. To ensure that voice typing is an option, from the parameters choose General management> Samsung keyboard> Voice entrance.
iOS
On the iPhone, you also have access to the vocal strike wherever you need it. The default keyboard is that provided by Apple, although you can also use alternatives such as Gboard if you wish. The keyboard appears whenever the text must have entered, and you can press the Mic (bottom right) button to start talking instead of type.
You can use a variety of commands while you are talking. Simply name an emoji (like “Emoji de Coeur”) or say the name of a punctuation symbol (as “an exclamation mark”) to insert the character in the current position of the cursor.
It is possible to divide the text into blocks using the commands “New Line” and “New Paragraph”, which is practical if you compose a long message. You can also say “Cancel” or “redo” to go back or advance in terms of words that you have dictated.
Your iPhone also allows you to use commands such as “select the sentence” and “delete the paragraph” to give you more control over the text blocks with which you work. Sometimes the precision is not as good as it could be, but you should be able to compose a large part of most of your messages via this method.
However, the iPhone does not give you an easy way to submit the text you have entered, as Android does with the commands “send” or “search”, although, in some cases, research is automatically triggered once you stop talking. Generally, you must stop the voice dictation (by pressing the micro button or saying “Stop the dictation”), then press the button to send or submit your text.
This should be configured by default with iOS, but if it does not work, open General> Keyboard from the iOS parameters, and make sure that the Activate dictation The rocking switch is activated. The other options here, such as automatic punctuation, are applied, you are talking or tapping your text.
