Tuesday December 2

TrillerTV+, 7:00 p.m. ET, CountryBox: where music meets boxing. From the Texas Troubadour Theater in Nashville, Tennessee, there is no need to remind any regular reader of Bad Left Hook. The main event is Maidel Sando vs. Zachary Randolph, with Evan Holyfield on the undercard. The music is Presley Aaron.

Thursday December 4

DAZN, 7:00 a.m. ET, KO CP Freshmart against Junior Zarate. From Bangkok, Thailand. This is for the now vacant WBC light flyweight belt. Why vacant? Because Carlos Canizales, originally booked to defend it against Freshmart here, had to pull out a week after fight night due to travel/geopolitics issues. The whole situation is stupid and frustrating on every level and angle. Four supporting fights listed for lower WBC belts, if that excites you.

Friday December 5

DAZN(?), 1:00 p.m. ET, Akrem Aouina vs. Tom Hill. From Milan, Italy. This is not currently appearing on DAZN’s schedule, but it will be a repeated theme this week and doesn’t mean it won’t appear later. BoxRec still shows it happening and streaming there, but the last social media bump I could find from promoters was two weeks ago. And it’s not currently on the venue’s upcoming schedule, which features a different event called “The Night of Kick and Punch – 19th Edition” taking place on February 7. Paris Olympian Diego Lenzi is on the undercard, according to BoxRec and all fight posters.

Saturday December 6

DAZN, 3:00 a.m. ET, Dream boxing. From Phuket, Thailand. The main event is Vladislav Khotenov vs. Khashaiar Ghassemi.

DAZN(?), 5:00 a.m. ET, Jai Opetaia vs. Huseyin Cinkara. For the IBF cruiserweight belt from Opetaia, from Gold Coast, Australia. Opetaia defends himself against Cinkara, summed up aptly and succinctly by Stumberg as follows: “a 40-year-old man for whom the descriptor “IBF obligatory” is more pejorative than ever. A knockout victory in early 2024 against Armend Xhoxhaj is the closest thing to a name victory on Cinkara’s resume. It is a streaming or PPV option in several other territories, but currently not listed on DAZN’s US schedule. Disturbing! But, for those who can access it, you will also see Justis Huni, Jason Moloney and Teremoana Teremoana in support. BLH will have live updates (if America has a live stream)

DAZN, 12:00 p.m. ET, Prime time boxing. From Varde, Denmark. The main event is Melissa Mortensen vs. Dorota Norek. Undercard features Thorbjorn Boudigaard, a Danish heavyweight, not a 4th level Asterix and Obelix supporting character.

DAZN, 1:00 p.m. ET, Dream boxing. Two Dream Boxing events in one day?!? It’s like a kind of unconscious wish fulfillment come true! This one is in Göppingen, Germany, and features Temur Mamoyan vs. Djuar El Scheich at the top of the fight card. Diego Marocchi appears in support, and I only mention him to point out that his nickname is “The Horseshoe”.

DAZN, 2:00 p.m. ET, Shabaz Masoud vs. Peter McGrail. Annual Matchroom show in Monaco, with a European super bantamweight title on the line. Masoud is undefeated, a year removed from his last action, a split decision win over Liam Davies that gave him the IBO world title. He seems to have misplaced it somewhere along the way, or maybe just forgot to put it in his bag after that fight. Things happen! Beatriz Ferreira defends her IBF lightweight belt against Elif Nur Turhan in the main bracket, with Sean “The Public Nuisance” McComb defending his IBF European super lightweight title against Hugo “The Fresh Prince of Monaco” Micallef further down the lineup. BLH will have live updates

Amazon Prime (and YouTube), 5:30 p.m. ET, Cruz vs. Roach preliminaries. Three fights listed on the Prime capsule: Frank Martin against Rances Barthelemy, Isaac Lucero against Roberto Valenzuela Jr and Luis Nunez against Hector Sosa. Elijah Garcia is also booked for a 10-rounder, but that may not be televised. This one is also streaming for free on YouTube, if you don’t have Prime.

Amazon Prime PPV, 8:00 p.m. ET, Isaac Cruz vs. Lamont Roach. From San Antonio, TX. $79.95 USD gets you this WBC interim welterweight title fight. Cruz holds the non-Subriel Matias belt, thanks to his victory over the late under Omar Salcido in July on the Pacquiao-Barrios show. WBO and IBF middleweight champion Janibek Alimkhanuly unites with WBA champion Erislandy Lara. Former unified super bantamweight champion and current WBC featherweight champion Stephen “Cool Boy” Fulton embarks on a third division fight against reigning WBC super featherweight champion O’Shaquie Foster. And Jesus Ramos vs. Shane Mosley Jr opens the main card. BLH will have live updates
